I just learned from my mother that her father used to make stuffed cabbage with rice, meat, and tomato sauce on Christmas. Well, some quick googling reveals that this tradition is from, of all places, Eastern Europe.
Needless to say, I'm revolted. But before I kill myself I need to know exactly which branch of subhumans has c*cked my family line. Is there any way to tell from a cabbage roll recipe which region it came from? Please respond quickly, I need to minimize the amount of time I spend on this mortal coil with this disgusting knowledge in my head.
No, they all eat cabbage because it can be saved until winter

I've had Polish and Ukrainian cabbage rolls... It seems like something that would be all over though - I learned how to make them from a Japanese ex, so... cabbage rolls are pretty ubiquitous in areas of the US and Canada because of Slavic communities. If there's enough to go around, they're usually pretty eager to share.

Your family might come from anywhere in Eastern Europe. Even from Georgia, because we make this dish here too. Sometimes.
Those are called Golubtsi. Your parents are either Ukrainian/Belarusian/Russian or Polish

In the Balkans, they're called sarme. It's Turkish food anyway.
