Following basic vexillographic design principles, here's the new flag of the USA.
>simple enough that a child can draw it from memory
>colours indicate racial composition, symbol shows the driving force of the country
>sticks to two colours that are both from the standard colour set
>no risk of mistaking it for another flag
The only basic design principle it arguably breaks is "no lettering or seals", but the symbol is simple enough that it shouldn't be a problem.
