2 very different regions - midwest and great lakes.
Great Lakes - drinking, urban decay, drug epidemic, crime, a lot of blacks (left the south to find jobs when we had manufacturing), high unemployment, fatty food, insanely cold in winter and hot and humid in summer.

minneapolis is spot on. love that city.
Minnesotan here, I'm the top state with the little tumor out the top. Amazing state of forests, river valleys, nice cities/towns and prairies. Very safe and smart. plus, we have an amazing side of the Lake Superior. We also touch canada in a non-decadent place (windsor and london and ste sault marie cec)

Michigan is one of the most beautiful states, it waves hello to the world. Beautiful towns, broken down cities, etc. Dakotas also have beautiful nature. Illionois has Chicago. Ohio has cedar point. Wisconsin has cheese. Nuff said
