Internet is about 1000 Rs per month (9.36 USD) which is somewhat affordable. Slow as shit though. To compare, petrol is 300-500 Rs per litre.

Been to India a fair number of times. India has places that are worse but some really nice ones as well. Sikkim, for example, is pretty neat and really unlike Delhi or Agra. Hydrebad was alright and my friends tell me Goa is pretty fucking great.

Kathmandu has a fair number of tourists. It's pretty hard to tell whether they're here for climbing or pussyfooting about. There are a surprising number of pretentious dickbags who come here to 'soak in the culture' or something stupid. Most of them leave after a violent bout of diarrhoea so it's all good. It's Namche Bazaar which is mountain climber central though.
