I made up a list recently in a thread named "How do we fix Russia". It takes much time, decades of it. Many laws should be rewritted or polished, we should make up with Ukraine and Western Europe, abandon dependance on natural resources, invest in holding our brains within our borders, connect Far East with the Western part, raise the level of culture, etc. We need reforms, reforms need money, wisdom and well-thought out plans.

This is pretty recent. Parties that have stayed in power, though, are not multiculturalist. Look at the Communist parties in China, North Korea, or Vietnam. They have strict immigration policies. They stand up for their border claims. In China, Muslim terrorists are dealt with with force and you'll never hear anyone in the party or country shed a tear for the Muslim minorities.

The goal of the Esperantist is to spread Esperanto in Russia. They don't want neither Russian or English to be the universal langauge in Central Asia. They're supporting Esperanto. It goes against Russian national interests.
Also China is heavily funding the Esperanto movement in their country. It's a bad idea.
