Its famous around China for having the highest statistical crime rate of any Chinese municipality but in reality its just boring, generic, dirty, and pretty poor. Had a great time living there and met lots of Slavic qts that work at the hotels there. All over China you can find beautiful blonde European women working in international five star hotels as receptionists.

Lijang/Dali in Yunnan is the most famous preserved medieval Chinese city, but its also a tourist theme park now as there are very few cities left like it.
Unfortunately state communism seems to have a way with erasing history, same thing happened in Russia.
