My favorite pieces of admiration (and therefore arguably pieces of art) are purposeful objects because they reflect a cultural impact in various ways, from our understanding of technology, progress or practicality to our perception of beauty, desirability and status. Looking good or provoking thought alone like a picture or sculpture isn't enough.
