Too bad that's the only thing we have in common with them. Nowadays romanian culture has been influenced so much by the rusosphere/yugoslavia that they might as well be considered slavic instead of latin. Spaniards can understand a lot of words from french, italian or portuguese but nothing about romanian.
Also having this territory isolated from the others makes some pretty ugly borders.
