Really though during the first half of the war we had majority of our troops in North Africa and the Middle East fighting the Nazis and protecting Commonwealth countries
When the Nazis started to lose Africa and Japan started making more ground southward we started recalling Troops to Australia
We fought the Japs in South East Asia, mainly in Papua New Guinea but also in Malaysia and Singapore. We acted as the base for which the Americans sprung off to retake Asia from the Japanese.
