Hello Reddit!
>>
>>51717027
I like spicy and I tend to prepare damn near all of my meals with a good amount of pepper but there comes a point where it gets too ridiculous. No idea why someone would want to eat something that's more pain than flavor.
>>
They are always coming out with spicier and spicier peppers. I am not impressed. Why not make a super cold food instead?

Hello!
>>
>>51717027
erm.... nettles?
>>
>>51717695

I never said that was opposites. I just said why not try to make it.

Often the opposite of spicy is dairy (cheese, ranch, milk etc). Making the most dairy food would be interesting too.

Like you never heard of ice cream or popsicles? Those are literally frozen. One of them is almost entirely dairy too. You are all kinds of stupid, friend.
>>
Carrots. Just regular carrots.
>>
>>51718235

Yeah the same cold foods we've had for centuries etc.

No, I mean trying to make colder and colder foods teh way they keep on making spicier and spicier peppers.

Seriously I keep hearing about all these peppers which are the "SPICIEST PEPPER EVER" and it seems a bit tired to me. THey never do this with any other flavors or food qualities. Just spicy peppers. Nobody cares besides for pepper fetishists.

-Colder and colder ice cream.
-Saltier and saltier pretzels.
-Sweeter and sweeter gumdrops.
-Firmer and firmer tofu
-Sour and sourer lemons

ETC ETC ETC. Just some ideas I came up on the top of my head.

Anything but "HUR DUR MUH EXTRA SPICY PEPPER #68395"
>>
Look at this you cannot make this up.

>In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that the ghost pepper was the world's hottest chili pepper, 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce. The ghost chili is rated at more than 1 million Scoville heat units (SHUs). However, the ghost chili was shortly superseded by the Infinity chili in 2011, followed by the Naga Viper, the Trinidad moruga scorpion in 2012, and the Carolina Reaper on August 7, 2013.[4]

Oh wow the SPICIEST PEPPER EVER. Wow....neat.

Think of all the crazy foods and flavors these people could have been inventing. Maybe the creamiest ever cream? The crispiest ever cereal? The fluffiest marshmellows? Most unami cheese? Most bitter chocolate? Nope. Just really really spicy peppers. One after another after another after another after another. People want to jack off to spicy peppers because they think "hot as in spicy" is the same as "hot as in sexy".

Ones plant cultivation. The rest arent.
Pepper growers are like rose growers.
>>
>>51718235
You do realize that things that are spicey aren't actually "hot," right? That if you put a thermometer in hot sauce, it would only be as warm as the thing it's contained in, right? You did graduate from middle school... Right?

>>51717027
Do things that we've synthesized count? If so, then, while it's technically native to Morocco and Nigeria, we have made resiniferatoxin, which is over 1000 times spicier than the Carolina Reaper at 16,000,000,000 scoville units. It is lethally spicy.
The more you know.
>>
There's no point to having a really spicy pepper either. Nobody will ever eat "Caroline Reaper poppers". its purely just "hur dur look at this spicy pepper I made" and then having retards on youtube eat it for views.

That's totally it. It'll never have relevance in American cuisine and its bound to fade into obscurity once the next "SPICIEST PEPPER EVER" comes out. There is nothing but nothing less impressive.

This, absolute meme food.

>>51718907

Chocolate comes from a plant, so does lemons which I mention in >>51718580 Cream can be made from super creamy cows. Why not?

Rose growers try to make interesting roses at least. They don't just try to make the most pedals.

You can make the sweetest pepper, the sourest pepper, the most unami pepper, the most bitter pepper, the saltiest pepper, etc. Maybe try to grow the biggest peppers get a strain of peppers the size of a car.

>>51718955

.....nobody in this whole thread once claimed that spicy things were hot temperature-wise. You do know how to read....right? You aren't a retard....right?

Where did he say that peppers were hot temperature-wise though, you retard? Quote me that one, retard.

I literally just did. Please fuck off to reddit until you learn how to read like a big boy, champ.

No he said that ice cream and popsicles were literally frozen. Which they ARE. Unless you eat your popsicles melted in which case you are a bigger retard than I thought. But your popsicles in the freezer, """"""""champ""""""".

He NEVER said peppers were hot temperature-wise.

DUH. Sorry but you need to fuck off......no offense.

This desu

But this pepper is useless, making it the most spicy just for the sake of being spicy is retarded.

Spiciness is used to add flavour, not to make your food uneatable.

inedible mate.
