I mean the War of 1812, the US was a young nation, and Britain was at the height of their power. They were already mobilized for war against Napolean, so it weren't no thang to reach across the Atlantic and give their wayward ex-colonies a slap in the dick and go back to their business.
Vietnam on the other hand, that was the height of US power. Then yous all went and fucked up and tried to engage guerrilla fighters on their own turf. Britain learned that lesson with us at the start of the 20th century, yous really should have learned from their mistakes.
