In Haiti mulattoes and lighter blacks are mainly in the upper class while darker blacks eat cookies made of dirt

I don't think white people are seen as superior in Brazil.
There are lot of poor white people here. And I'm talking about white people, not mixed people.

Everytime I post on this board, some Amerautists make these two exact jokes
>>51702841

I think it's more about money and nationality than race in the world.
They're definitely considered to be most attractive. I think that's universal.
Intelligence is another matter entirely. Light skinned "Aryan" Indians are literal savages who get BTFO by their coal-skinned Dravidian compatriots in intellectual accomplishments (founding companies, publishing academic papers, running the country's space program, etc.).

This. People in poor countries (Africa, Asia, Latin America) might think people from rich (usually white) countries throw money at them.

No. I will explain to you how it works in Brazil.
You need to be white and FOREIGN to be seen as rich ar maybe superior, even if you are poor.
If you are white and BRAZILIAN, nobody will see you as superior. But There are many poor white people in this country.

>>51703436
Wrong. Money is all that matters in any state that is not some nordestino or commie shithole
>>51703071
True. Even within a rich country where everyone is the same colour find biases based on accent or family names etc.

Yes, It's true
>>51702557

Lighter skin has always been desirable across cultures and throughout history.
Being tanned or having darker skin was a result (or rather implies) that you had to work outside in the fields. Hence tanned skinned became synomous with being a peasant. Having pale skin (and hence implying you were a noble/of wealth that didn't have to work outside) thus became desible.
There was a reason powdering the face was a trend in Europe and geisha use white face paint.

In pre-colonial Yorubaland smooth coal black skin was seen as the ideal, compared to the brown skin which was most common.
good taste desu
Mesoamericans generally never considered skin tone as an established beauty trait or didn't even care much about physical characteristics. Nevertheless, the features that resembled birds were very appreciated.
Interestingly they compared skin tones to the colours of the maize seeds.
