Humans are weak animals whos only real advantage is our ability to create tools to overcome our deficiencies. The source of all authority is violence, and so by depriving their people of weapons, they are simultaneously depriving them of both their authority and their humanity. In a physical sense, but more importantly in a psychological sense. In Russia only assault weapons are banned. That include all weapons that can shoot sprays, have a bayonet, or ammo load more then 10 bullets. So you can have an SVD marksman rifle or SKS carbine or even .50 sniper rifle. But you can't use it for self-defence outside home — only shitty rubber-shooting pistols without barrel. Between hunting place and home, weapons should be transported in disassembled state without ammo cartridges. We also had mass shooting 3 or 4 years ago. Some /b/tard-like guy brought shotgun to work and shot 3 or 4 people.
