Explain to me how German engineering became a meme? What significant contributions to science has this country made? I mean sure there was the Haber process, nuclear fission and WW2 tanks but otherwise what's so great about German science? Is there something I'm missing or is Germany just overrated?
Pic related, even Sweden (who IMO are seriously underrated) has discovered and/or isolated more elements than Germany.

Swedes are shit-tier is naming chemical elements. All of them are name after one city (Itterby-something). I hated them when I was studying non-organic chemistry. Even weird IKEA-style names for them could be better.

Platinum is listed as a German discovery on the map.

Leibniz invented calculus for one thing. I'm sure your Anglo education has another spin on that though. When my dad went to school in Singapore they were thought Scott was the first man in Antarctica.

Ten of them were from one mine which could have happened anywhere.
