It does, but in this case the influence is only visible in the cities where the rapid heavy industrialisation happened. We were introduced to ćevapi and all that delicious Balkan grill food but an average Slovene (out of the city) still eats sauerkraut and wurst, listens to oberkrain music and is deeply catholic.
The other point is our cultural landscape which in fact differs much from our southern neighbors. Most of the infrastructure here was built by the Habsburgs and later Austrians. It certainly has that CE feeling to it
