the majority, if not most of the medieval persian scholars weren't even from iran, they were from places like tajikistan, uzbekistan or afghanistan, and if they were from iran, they were from the khorasan area which was culturally/academically the same as the aforementioned

What do you mean? I work in a church community and one of the biggest things we do is give aid to incoming immigrants/refugees in terms of getting them a place to stay, giving them food, hooking them up with jobs via connections, you know, good things to help out a fellow brother in Christ.
Most of the time we help philippinos and the like. We also help out lots of lebanese christians but they often have families here so they don't need our help after a while, it's obvious they're christian too. Iranians however either tell us they converted to christianity and fake being a christian (it's so obvious too, it's just the good hearted people of the church don't say anything) and they proceed to abuse and leach off of us.
No other immigrant group is pathetic enough to do that to be honest.
