Mexico has cuisine, history, music, culture, scenery, grit, crime, heart, and balls to rival anyone. It's among the finer places in all of the new worlds for experiences.
Don't fret over the people that measure quality via internet charts and metrics, look around and see how rich your culture is. Sure, Taco Bell restaurant has a better track record with cleanliness, makes way more money, and is much more relavent, but that greasy roach coach that sells tacos in SoCAl during lunch time has, and will, always make much better food, that's my best metaphor regarding Mexico.
