Whales actually taste great. Ethically I'm not so sure given they're highly intelligent and the whales the japs hunt are going extinct.
But Icelandic minke whale, the whale I've tasted, which the Icelandics hunt fairly responsibly, is really tasty. Like a very very very good beef. Some parts are almost as tender as a kobe, but without the excess fat.
Still the japs need to stop hunting dolphins and endangered whale species.
