with very close and low o.

Old and majestic. And sounds quite latin in my imagination.
>>51625770
Indeed. It's beautiful.
More on the soft side. I like it.
>>51625770
I know, your imagination, but...
Classical Latin actually sounds far harsher, compare:

what is the difference between
omikron and omega?

>>51625770

is there actually a latin dub to frozen? very interesting
>>51626129
literally means small o and big o, nowadays nothing, in ancient greek I think was different?
>>51626129
>omikron and omega
o mikron - short o
o mega - long o
just like micro- and mega-
>>51626160
Gibberish. It means nothing except for logos, I just tried to rend what I hear when I listen to greek.
>>51626129
I don't think there is any difference nowadays,it is related only with the orthography and also the etymology of a word. The pronunciation is the same.Back in time o-mikron was a softer o,o-mega was more tense.
Mikro=small
mega=great

Greek sounds like Spanish but with different words.
>>51625641
Greek alphavit looks like Russian without letters for special slav sounds
it sounds like it has some spanish phonetics to me but a bit different, like the use of X and O and a lot of words end in I. Also, obviously i can't understand any of it
the only word i can make out is thelo (if that's even a word)
Sounds like someone speaking bobbity boppity tier italian while tired
>>51625641
I grew up in a family of Greek diaspora. I'm the only one in my family that doesn't speak Greek. I hear it all the time and I don't understand it, it's torture.
Epsilon vs. Ita
difference?
>>51626166
I guess only for this music... but looks like adapting stuff into Latin has become a past-time for some, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG_9Lw_6UrU
And there's also a version in Attic Greek:

(Ignore the goofy video)
>>51625641
Sounds a lot like Mexican Spanish.
>>51626584

ita, yiota, ipsilon got the same pronunciation,it is our ''e''

Greek followed a similar path to the Romance languages, so I guess sounding Spanish-like isn't really surprising...

Alphabet looks like Cyrillic, language sounds like Spanish
bump
robotic and pretentiously cool
>>51630632
>robotic
nice
never heard of that opinion before.
how is it robotic?as in no emotions, soulless when speaking?
>>51625641
Sounds like a Chilean trying to speak Basque.
>>51626730
Mexican Spanish don't have the the sound nor the gutural j. Greek sounds like a spaniard speaking gibberish to me.
>>51625641
sounds the same as all south european languages
>>51625641
It almost has an Italian vibe to it. Pretty neat language, looks hard though.
Just speaking from experience with Greek friends, not from the video.
>>51630902
It sounds structured, the syllables flow in a steady rhythm. The impression stands out more if the r is pronounced frequently.
Like Spanish from Spain, it also sounds slightly stronger compared to Mexican.
I have been reading about the musicality of languages and many mention the brazilian portuguese..it is made for music. Can you post some examples?
btw posting some good old rembetiko by Vicky Moscholiou
