Reminds of the Cow Parade here in Madison Wisconsin. I don't remember how many were made but there are dozens all over the city with different designs by local artists and average people. My favorite is the tombstone to Joseph Palmer though. He was a transcendentalist, hung out with Thoreau, tried to start his own religion once, and was an outspoken abolitionist. Also he wore a beard when it was unfashionable and was assaulted and jailed. He wouldnt leave after his term in social protest and we have a statue of him with the beard to this day.
