My favorite is the tombstone to Joseph Palmer though. He was a transcendentalist, hung out with Thoreau, tried to start his own religion once, and was an outspoken abolitionist. Also he wore a beard when it was unfashionable and was assaulted and jailed. He wouldnt leave after his term in social protest and we have a statue of him with the beard to this day.
