Basically you choose a starting point. At each mupdate (basically when OP releases an updated map reflecting the different shit that happened that round), you tell OP what you want to do (like where you want to expand, who you want to ally with etc.). How much you expand depends on your roll number. Your roll is the end of your post number. Check each map you play in for what the rules are for rolling. In this case it's in the top left. Say you roll an 8. That means you get 15 provinces (each shape on the map is a province), and you choose which ones to take (to an extent-you can't just go from Arabia to Scandinavia unlike the real world).
