Pretty great, innit?
>>
If that's the only thing that makes you feel like you won the lottory...

Well, I'll let you happy on your bubble because I pity you already.
>>
I feel like it really depends on what kind of person you are. If you're ambitious and want to become famous or even just work hard rather than live a comfy life, Murrka is definitely winning the genetic lottery. On the other hand, if you just wanna work a single stable job and marry a girl and have kids and have a comfy, but boring life and die at the age of 80 or 90, you're better off in Europe.

Seems like a good life.

At least I don't have to worry about getting shot and killed by niggers

Oh wait

See our countries have much more then u think in common
>>
>>51522532
Good summary. I am glad I was born here though since I have the option to do both, though I'd be seen as an outsider if I ever moved.
>>
>>51522532
The American dream is a lie. If your parents aren't rich/powerful you can most of the time achieve nothing. There's a 99.99% chance you live the boring life you described.

That is false. in my youth my father worked as a plumber and my mother worked as a substitute teacher. They were low income but I went to a cheap welding school and earned myself a 100 grand a year job. So I wouldn't say the American Dream is completely dead

> US
> Meritocracy

Pick 1

When the quality of your education depends on your parents you are fucked. Most of Europe is better for hardworking intelligent people coming from poor backgrounds.

US is one of the worst western countries in terms of social mobility.
>>
>>51523693
Why do you post something that's been debunked numerous times?
>>
>>51522497
America is pretty shit, but dude, you live in Brazil. Do you even own shoes?
>>
>>51527555
This doesn't take into account afferamative action
>>
>>51528059

Yes it does, the Social Mobility is measures by Intergenerational Earnings Elasticity, i.e. how much earnings differ between fathers and sons.
>>
>>51527839
Not since the last raid on the favela.

why does japan score high in every stat but I never hear of japanese entrepeneur culture or similar? on the other hand, I never hear anything about japan social mobility, only thast theyre miserable. whats the real truth
>>
>>51528619

I only see a tiny upper and massive lower class

Good taste senpai
>>
>>51528748
Of course, 65'000 a year is lower class by U.S. Standards

By poverty countries standards, it's even worse for them.

Completely
Being poor here sucks, but that encourages you to work towards the middle, which is better than almost any other developed country.

Really senpai, you're destitute by our standards
>>
>>51528461
>$65000 yearly
>poor
that's like the two times the price my parents bought their flat 10 years ago
>>
>>51522532
too bad i dont even have a gf
>>
>>51528854
>that encourages you to work towards the middle

Which as seen here >>51527555 is almost impossible due to no social mobility.
>>
>>51528818
>>51528928

> 65'000 a year is lower class by U.S. Standards

That's the top third, try reading the graph
>>
>>51528975
Sorry senpai, but compared to most we're about in the middle
>>
>>51529064
So you have a large class of people who make lower wages? That ain't different from any other country as shown in >>51528854
>>
>>51528818
>Of course, 65'000 a year is lower class by U.S. Standards
>top third

YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP AHHHHH

fuck what terrible thing have you come up with to call the bottom 2 thirds?
>>
>>51529107

You're second from the bottom in the graph you posted
>>
>>51529146

The issue is that unlike other countries there is no social mobility, so a hardworking intelligent person born into a poor background is fucked.
>>
>>51529179
So? Other countries need to catch up to us eventually.
>>
>>51529212
Nope, we're better than the UK in fact.

The people who aren't mobile are the stupidest ones, like most poor people.
>>
>>51522300

You are fucked.

Lul
>>
>>51529325
Pakistan is on the same level as Switzerland

Ones a developed nation, the other a 3rd world shithole.
It doesn't mean anything.
>>
>>51529328

We don't tip, and unlike the US there is only 1 sales tax and it's included in the price of all products,
>>
>>51522919
America is possibly a country with the most vertical career movement in the whole world. If you fuck up, you go down, if you're good you go up. This is what's great in the US.

It measures social mobility, i.e. how easy it is to move between the different social stratas.
