There's a ton of untouched wilderness and wildlife, and the seasonal changes are dramatic. There are mountain lions in the wilderness, but the state denies it because they'd have to fork up money for conservation.
The locals take their sports teams wayyyyyyy too seriously and drink a lot of shitty beer from state-run stores with draconic liquor laws because of the Pennsylvania Dutch influence
It's a pretty unique place in the states. A shitty place to live for 20-somethings outside of Pittsburgh and Philly, but it's very comfy.
