Pretty good.I guess im biased, but i fuckin love my coutnry.Especially places like Sofia/Plovdiv/Burgas are improving with each year.

>Which country had the nicest people/locals?
Well, aside for Bulgaria and other balkan countries, i'd say i really enjoy americans. Most of them are really friendly and willing to help to strangers without second thought.
Ive had great experience even with monorities there(blacks, mexicans, etc)

>>51442778
No, not really.I mean same problems could be found in Sofia(aside for the high crime, its actually pretty peaceful for a capital)
The thing that mostly striked me was the giant
"inequality" if i could call it like that.
I remember, we had a free weekend to take a trip there when we were at anchor in Mexico, and i was just visiting the bazaars to buy some gifts for home. The thing that frustrated me the most was that, on the one side of the street, there were fuckin sky scrappers and office buildings and shit, while on the other side, there were literally fuckin shacks where they beheaded chickens infront of you and sold them.Tho, to be fair, i bought based fuckin stuffed armadillo from there that my friends and chicks always dig in my home since pretty much no one has ever seen one here aside for the zoos, kek.

Thank God, i didnt want to start shitting on Indians since they have a hard time on 4chan anyway,but....

on a few courses, we had a lot of Indiand colleagues and they are genuinely the shittiest people that ive ever met.Not only that they dont bother socialising with the rest of the crew and keep to themselves only, but if hits you the hardes when time for lunch/dinner comes.
Those guys dont fuckin eat beef(and pork for some reason?, i understand the beef since muh holy cows and shit, but why the fuck pork??) and usually when we have indians on the course they are the majority(like 10-15 people everytime), the chef doesnt bother to cook anything but food that pleases them.So we are pretty much forced to eat fuckin RICE WITH CHICKE AND SHITTY SPICES for a few months unless you had the smart idea to buy shitloads of junkfood at the last anchor.
Also, those fuckers, literally dont give a fuck about stuff like forks and spoons- they literally make fuckin "meatballs" with hands in the rice and they eat it just like that(ofcourse, most of the times, they fuckin forget to wash their hands after that)
man, i fuckin hate indians...

Depends, mainly on your contract and choice

in my case, there are two options-i can either go on a long course sailing(meaning travelling from a point to point)for 8-9 months, or i can just go to an "anchor"(basically just go to the anchored ship that they call us to and just work at the harbor, while sleeping in hotels nearby).
I usually prefer the second option, since its just 1-2 months of work and i get 1-2 monts free after that.
But the other option is still cool since you actually sail and visit shitloads of places on one course

Eh, pretty decent(especially for our standar since, you knwo, stuff here is fuckin cheap).
Lets say, around 4-5k leva on a shitty course.
Which is actually really good, since whem im ther, the only money i spend is to buy some gifts for my familly and friends, and ofcourse buy shoes/perfumes/dresses for my gf.
My food/plane tickets are payed by the J E W S, so its pretty easy to save a lot of money.
I even managed to save for a new car(pic related), now im planning to start saving for a new place in Sofia since when im here i have to either pay for hotels/hostels or stay at my old roommate(while paying rent, kek)

Hahaha, the drinks bring out the honesty, huh. ;)

Damn, yeah, that chef is taking the easy way out, and shouldn't just cater to them. I would be pissed, too, if I had to completely change what I ate - for months at a time. Maybe a week I could do, lol. Haha, I have an Indian fiance & he eats that meatball way.. Honestly kinda grossed me out at first, but now that I see he washes his hands good, it doesn't gross me out as much anymore.

Usually from what I've seen, the North Indians can be the harshest. India is totally a completely different culture than most rest of the world, so I guess that's why they stick together so much, and not even realize it's rude.

At least it's nice to hear from someone who's been around them, too. I've been living here since January, so even white foreigners feel like home to me now, lmao.
>>
>>51444500
Oh, and I had a friend from Bulgaria in one of my high school classes in America. He was fresh off the boat, and was cool as shit. We just joked the whole time during class & copied off each other. :) He would talk about how he'd seen dead bodies floating in rivers when he was younger(this was around 1999/2000 in high school). He also talked about how much he hated gypsies, haha. Now I kinda know what gypsies are, but then I didn't know & thought it was very interesting.

Kek, i have american bud who recently moved to Chicago to study in uni and he just told me he became friend with some Bulgarian dude and he likes him a lot. From what i hear. our diaspora across the ocean is pretty decent and people like them(which is nice change of pace, since in Europe, the gypsies are the once that mainly migrate to steal/beg/start organized crime groups and people hate us because of them)

(Lmao, speaking of India & my experience, we get rolling blackouts & sometimes the internet goes out, which it just did for a while.)

>can you write more about your experience there
Sure can. I live in Bangalore here. The biggest thing that made an impression on me from having come from America is, the infrastructure. Bangalore's a big city, but it's kind of like traveling back in time for me. More dirt roads in cities, and many buildings kinda knocked down/worn down by the elements. The litter is a big thing, too. And some sidewalks just have gaping holes, lmao, so you have to pay attn when walking. It's much better in the countryside. Much better.

My neighbors are really nice people. Compared to America it's like going back in time in that aspect, too. You know your neighbors well, here & socialize. Although I'm probably the only one who comes to India & spends most of their time indoors & online, lol.

The landscape & temples are awesome. And everything's pretty much handmade. Women know how to sew/cook from scratch. The details in woodworking are incredible. The wooden doors here on homes have intricate carvings on them, which I think was really cool.

I've visited many places, but have only been out on my own a couple of times, to the market, etc. I'm still kinda getting used to it & since I'm blonde, I stick out like a sore thumb, which sucks.

Overall, I do like it here.

Its pretty much the same here, its not a rare occurrence for your neighbour to come and ask you for a cup of sugar or something if you befriended him. From my impression, its the same in USA, no?The people that i've met there were friendly as fuck

>Overall, I do like it here.
thats the most important thing in the end of the day.Do you plan to establish yourself there, or are you planning to go back home?
>>
>>51445682
>neighbors in America
When I was growing up, I lived in the country in the US(Kentucky). It's awesome in the country, the neighbors all know you & everyone knows everyone's business, lol. But when I got a bit older, we moved to the city. You might know one or two neighbors, but it's not like the country. I think that's what I like about here(India), that it's like the country even in a big city. It's also really traditional here & that reminds me of my countryside.

I'm actually getting married & planning to settle in India. Most likely in the countryside, where the fiance's family lives. Thinking about taking classes or something. Maybe get a job once I transfer my tourist visa over to X visa. Probably in healthcare like I did in the states. It's a needed profession here, since most private hospitals scam a lot of people, here. It's pretty crazy to find good healthcare. You can get opiates over the counter here, which, thank God for that. The dentists I've been to don't usually use needle/numbing like they do in the US. And being in pain wasn't fun!

Tho for now, im pretty much a "boy for everything" when im on the ship.
Its pretty sweet job but i managed to get it more or less because of nepotism(my family has a tradition in the sphere, my grandpa was a Captain, my dad is a chief-mechanic).
Tho is a good job until you are young, once you establish a familly and a home, its pretty shitty to have to travel for half a year abroad.Thats why im planning to start small business here in the next 4-5 years, before i hit 30 with the money that i managed to save)

kek, it sounds funny, i know, but its pretty much this for now.
in that kike firm that i work, there is a thing like "hierarchy"
And since i didnt have any naval education like my grandpa and dad(i was pretty much the same of my family since i was retarded enough to go for useless education like pol-sci), i had to start from the zero when i got the job.
If the captains need a bottle of whiskey?Im the guy for that...If the chef and hes crew needs help washing the dishes...?Im the guy for that.
You get the idea.
Tho im getting a chef courses now, since i've had a love fore cooking since a kid and i hope ill manage to get the place in the next year, since the dosh is pretty fuckin good, and you can pretty much be lazy as fuck at your job and cook the same boring shit every fuckin day
