Yes. But I set rules like never drinking during the day, no more than four nights in a row, no more than most days of the month, don't buy liquor, never buy more than a six pack of beer or a bottle of wine at a time, if I make beer I don't add sugar and will only keep two bottles in the fridge at a time, never drink on the same day as lifting or long biking, wine only with my girlfriend together. Basically confirmed functional alky in denial. It used to be much worse.

Yes, but in going to stop/lower my amount. My problem is I have nothing to do with my life and nothing to look forward to so when the weekend comes around I drink until I pass out. It's been that way for many years

I don't drink alcohol. I prefer caffeine. I'm from ""Popland"" too. Popland diaspora in UK is truly the worst.
I have whiskey on the weekends.
During the weekdays I'll sometimes have a beer to accompany a meal.
