There are still many government bosses around who don't know what city planning is but this thing is gaining popularity in big cities. I guess you understand that we need some time to fix people's tastes again, redesign commieblocks (Balts and Turkmen do this) and make up something new and good. Modern architecture here is complete shit because it's made in 3D editors by suckers who studied at shit colleges and have poor knowledge, no taste, etc. Also businessmen usually don't care about beauty of the housing they create, they just want to use land more effectively in terms of making as much flats = money as they can. Cheap projects and easy money.
