Yeah I'm hoping it will be good. For some reason because I'm American if I want to leave the ship for any reason other than doing an official shore excursion offered by the cruise company I have to apply for a special visa that costs like 500 USD. Thankfully the shore excursions go to Peterhof Palace, Hermitage, Church of the Savior on Blood etc. so it'll be OK. I hope to go back again in the future without a cruise to tour Russia, lots of really cool things to see I think.
