It's shit when you're aware of it.
Most people don't know anything better so they can live normally with bad shit because "that's how life is". But when you've traveled, when you know that there's places where shootings and muggings aren't an everyday thing, where the streets are clean, where people are educated and where the public transport works, you realize how worthless and inferior your life is.
