Low price of crude oil makes the Russian finance bad.
maybe they'll take out loss at 10 billion dollars by next year.....

A Russian government was supposed as 90 dollars for 1 barrel and annual expenditure was expanded.
and They assumed the revenue by the petroleum 100 dollars for 1 barrel.

but, 39.5 dollars for 1barrel now....

The Tu-160 active fleet has been undergoing upgrades to electronics systems since the early 2000s. The Tu-160M modernisation programme has begun with the first new updated aircraft delivered in December 2014."

They're really poor now.

A war uses the large amount budget. A poor country can't participate in a terrorism war.
The Russian isn't interested in peace in the Middle East and the world.

Because Russians aren't the merciful people who sacrifice oneself and devote themselves to others.
They have an interest in only oil price.
Please remember an Afghanistan soviet war.

>The real risk is that economic discontent will force either the existing Russian government or its replacement into a harder political stance. As the maps in Barnes’s book show Russia has spent most of its history in conflict with one neighbour or another. War, as on numerous past occasions, could provide a nationalistic distraction from the grim economic realities. In many ways, the last 25 years in Russia have been a period of relative stability. But there is no guarantee that that situation will last. Mr Putin will remember all too well that one of the major reasons for the fall of the Soviet Union at the end of the 1980s was the collapse in energy prices. If anything, Russia is weaker now than it was then. Indeed, as Dominic Lieven says in a brilliant introduction to Barnes’s book: “Russia is now weaker than it has been at almost any time in the last 300 years.”

The author meant in relative terms. Russia's strength relative to the world for 300 years.

>Understand my point now? USA is so powerful now that UK, Germany and France are pathetic in comparison.
But the USA is declining in importance as emerging powers grow faster (pic related). Meanwhile, the UK has been mostly outperforming its western peers for a while.

>With China rising up, Western Europe will cease to exist as relevant countries.
You got it backwards. China's rise (and India's rise) has the effect of making the world a bit more balanced and multi-lateral. The USA will remain powerful but becomes less so, relatively speaking, as these powers get stronger. That is why the UK felt it could get away with joining the AIIB despite the US asking it not to, something similar would have been unlikely in the 50s/60s or the 90s when the US was more dominant.

BTW the UK is on course to overtake the German economy. The UK hasn't been the largest European economy in peace time for about a century.

>>
>>51026202
The USA's share of the world economy has more than halved since WW2. Why? The fast growth of emerging powers which were disrupted during/after that war.

It's a simple and meaningful fact. IF you think the USA's declining share of GDP doesn't matter, you are a fool. Why did many of the USA's allies do something the USA publicly asked them not to do? Because the USA is less important than it was, and China is a growing slice of the world economy therefore growing in importance.
