It's also a lot of money involved because they buy a lot of merchandise like apparell and spend money on a crap vehicle with an audio system that cost more than the vehicle.
Lots of people getting pumped at the hospital, occational rape, and of course the pranks that involve kidnapping people, throwing them to sea, "attacking" younger students with water guns (which most people take in good fun) and so on. Some russ take it an excuse to do literally whatever they want. But that's the extreme end of it. Lots of russ have a pretty mellow celebration.

Personally i couldn't really manage to drink for 3 weeks straight, I get too hungover and nauseated. But I know a few people who was drunk the whole time, people start to develop pretty good habits to "repair" the hangover with more drinks, you just keep the buzz going by never stop the drinking and you postpone the hangover.
