I don't care. If he does exist he clearly has no interest in me.

It's a very long topic.

My goal was to disprove the existence of a God. Since you can't do it directly, you have to disprove that "he" any involvement in our creation.

I did so by researching and analyzing such topics like the "evolution" and the "big bang". The more I got into it, the less sense it made. The theories were so full of holes, there were more holes than the substance.

Long story short - the more the science progresses, the more we understand that we don't know a shit about how this world came to be.

All the laws of physics, biophysics and biology fit each out so perfectly, it practically impossible that it's all a "random". There has to be someone or something that deliberately created all those complex systems that surround us, or it's practically impossible that any of it could really exist.

don't get me wrong though, sikh metaphysics is pretty good (though its very much a cleaned up version of what Siddhartha and particularly Nagarjuna were pushing with 'Pure Being' or alternatively the advaita Brahma-Atma schema)

The problem is, as with all metaphysics, is 'why should i believe anything you're saying'.

That one sentence really does alot of damage to all this stream of thought :/, from Liebniz's monads, to Plato's realms of form, to 'Pure Being', to Parmenides and his illusions and reality etc
>>
>>38250350
yes because if he's not 100% sure whether god exists.

A lecture telling him that god exists as a substantive reality, is a trick. It doesn't provide him any certainty, but a false sense of it.

I'm sure he knows what God is according to sikhism, but you can easily still doubt, why should you believe there is a one-ness to everything?

I can meditate as long as i like, but I'm sure I'll never find any definitive reason to believe in a metaphysical world regardless of how logical or ornate they are.

1. Church of Christ/Methodist
2. Jesus and the Bible was really important in my family growing up, but I'm slowly losing interest in religion in favor of something more personal as I grow further into adulthood. I like James Joyce's idea of appreciating beauty while not being overly heretical or dogmatic.
3. I don't think we're here for no purpose, and I've had too many experiences to believe they were just all coincidences, so in a poetic way I'd like to believe there is someone or something watching over me and the world, but given basic logic, there is reasonable doubt that God exists. Again though, the spiritual side of me says yes, so I am forever conflicted and I don't believe I'll ever have a straightforward answer until my death. Until then, I'll occasionally attend church, pray when I or someone I know is in need, and probably even raise my kids as Christians just for the morals, but I'll never claim to know anything.
