+ one the great PMs because she took the bold decisions and stood up against wimps in her Cabinet, and indeed the wimps across the Pond.
+ winning the Rebate was nicely done but her methods were not
+ she did well in the foreign politics of the Cold War in the later years of the USSR
- she could be a bully, her treatment of Howe was unnecessary and distasteful
- she wanted to go "on and on and on", this was a mistake and led to her downfall
- aggressive methods of "negotiation" made our position in Europe worse than it could have been
- could have perhaps softened the impact on the industrial towns
Overall, one of the best post-war British PMs. I put her in my top 3 greatest post-war PMs along with Clement Atlee and David Cameron (conditional on how the rest of his Parliament goes)
