It is not really about that.
During the 80s both Denmark and Sweden both had the chance to take in Somalian refugees.
Denmark refused and Sweden invited them.
As a result, Swedish media always talked about how racist Denmark is and how Sweden took the moral high ground and is the better nation. This has been going like this for pretty much every refugee crisis.
Swedish children get taught how good Sweden is for taking in refugees, how much of a nice multicultural nation Sweden is. Media says the same. They get taught ever since they're a child that they're the morally high nation, that they're the good in the world, that they're the best nation.
So when they see what kind of problems the immigrants cause, like the no-go zones, the huge benefit taking, the unemployment, the huge crimespikes, they just don't believe it.
They can't see how anything like that causes problems, and then if any Swede criticizes their immigration policy, they call them racist, dumb, xenophobic, whatever. They get tought that criticizing refugees is wrong, that criticizing immigration is wrong and that criticizing immigration is racist.
