I read a couple pages then skimmed a few pages later in the chapter. Immediately I called bullshit on a 10yo doing that so I looked it up and while he did make a comic for his elementary school class at age ten, the comic you linked was done in 1985, when he was 19. The comic he made at 10 has never been released publicly.

It's still impressive, but bear in mind he had nearly a decade of comic making by then. Hell, the comic he made at 10 apparently he did 40 volumes of. He started using inks and professional techniques in middle school. So he had a ton of drawing experience and mileage by the time he was 19.
