>do you have any tips on how to formally secure sponsors online? I've been asked for my portfolio for review.
at a convention I traded business cards with a marketing manager in charge of art supplies maker after I showed some of my work.
here are some samples

my work focuses on digital but I do see good potential to expand my work with traditional tools that I can't currently afford.
I think we could both benefit on that end, I get my supplies and I get to do the kind of work I want to create and they get good reviews for my small following that could possibly result in exposure for their not so known company.
your feedback is greatly appreciated.

you think I have enough appeal? I wonder if there any unspoken requirements for starting one...

It can't hurt to try, worst case scenario you get no donors.

wont it suffer from getting stale? to be honest I know little to nothing about Patreon, as far as I know I just have to leave links and small comments in all my social media once in a while.

I probably know less than you about it, it just looks easier than trying to find traditional sponsors.
