How do I get Krita to work? All that happens is a black screen pops up. This is litterly what comes up when I start a new project.
File > new
Or ctrl+N

and also, you probably just need to toggle the OpenGL option: Settings -> Configure Krita -> Display -> click OpenGL checkbox
