How is abstract art dead?
I was feeling like making a trip to a museum or gallery to see some inspiring work in person. Made a search for a 300km max distance, spend hours looking through all this shit and found ZERO shows that aren't abstract or highly conceptualized weird shit.
abstract painting cant die, it is the by product of an intuitive developmental process (expeshaly for color mixing. Finding the point of a sloppy mess is a metaphor for life. Saying Abstract is dead is like saying the examination of life is dead.
definitely dead on /ic/

I hope not, it gives me a good laugh whenever I see it.

No, but it is usually damn expensive.
As long as it continues to be one of the most efficient ways to launder money, no

More like "belongs in the trash"
How have you not seen this avant garde masterpiece? Theatre is the greatest art we can have in a modern society.

Lol it must suck to live in the middle of nowhere. Where do you live?
300km away from me there must be at least ten hours art shows

Germany. I found well over 100 art shows, but every single one was abstract/modern art. I just want to see nice drawings and paintings in person from time to time, but Germany is a shithole when it comes to that.
We have tons of art schools, art shows and galleries, but every single one of them is abstract. I am so sick of it.
