Is it true that being an artist will make you immune to nudity? How will you still get off on stranger's nude photos if you've mastered desexualizing the nude figure?
>>
mental sexuality. I guess. or become asexual. or get a gf and fuck a lot to keep your libido up.
the variables and outcomes aren't the same for everyone.

Become the Übermensch and disregard women and acquire aesthetics.

>Is it true that being an artist will make you immune to nudity?
no.

powerful instincts that have developed over millenia

the rate in which i look at porn and my downward spiral into more and more fucked up shit desensitizes me from the nude body way more than what my figure drawing classes can do

doesnt help that Im into thicker body types and most models are skinny as fuck to show bone structure and muscles

From what many of my friends at school say who have been doing figure drawing for 3-4 years, it's awkward to draw naked people at first but gets less awkward depending on the model (They praise one who's very professional and makes it as unawkward as possible about the fact he's naked and then there's one lady who gets up in your face with her robe open during breaks and tries to sell you her 60s porno of her or something.

Anyway, from what I've gathered, you don't become desensitized you just kinda learn to push it to the back of your mind for the purpose of your drawing and that focus goes away when you need to fap or have sex with someone.

I mean some people might fully become desensitized because everyone's different but generally, no. I mean, if you watch a lot of porn does that mean if you walk in on people having sex you'll be used to it? Different contexts mater

Turned a furry.

You're not drawing what you're seeing if you pop a boner.

I became immune to nudity after 8-10 years of posting daily on imageboards.

Actually I became immune to pretty much anything, art is my attempt to care and get out of my latent socio/psychopathy.
>>
Just stop fapping constantly, m8

The better of an artist you become, the more your interests sparks in different fetishes. That's why so many talented artists become furries. Can't jack off to humans, might as well jack off to animals.

yeah this

porn made me immune to nudity a decade ago

Uhm, no. You became a furry because you have autism. You scared the other kids, had no friends, and was forced to hump your animal plushies for comfort while watching Disney cartoons. You then combined that disability with your drawing hobby and there you go, a furry was born.

Nudity will never be sexier than partial nudity.

I actually fear drawing naked models because my lack of farmiliarity with the female form. I just use pictures online. I think I would go crazy if I had to just, see a woman naked. (Probably lots of sweating, claminess, passing out)

I have not seen a woman naked in 4 years I think anything will turn me on at this point.

I have probably hundreds of life drawing hours under my belt, and I still get aroused by hot models. When you're really concentrated on getting things like proportions and gesture right it tends to take away focus from sexual thoughts, but when a attractive model unrobes after a break I still go "holy fuck those big ol titties". Regular porn barely makes my dick tingle nowadays though.

It can. And it's not really an issue, at least for me, since it has just mildly altered what gets me aroused. A nude figure isn't inherently a turn on, but a nude figure doing something sexy (even if it's just posing very sexually) is definitely a turn on.
>>
First life drawing class it was only awkward for the first 20 minutes. You kind of get into a zone where you no longer see a naked person but just another object to draw. That being said, it's completely different when being faced with a naked person in a sexual setting.

>Is it true that being an artist will make you immune to nudity?

Up to a point, but I believe porn has a similar effect.
I draw lewd stuff, and browse hentai more for the sake of inspiration and collecting reference material, than for... other reasons. It's gotten to the point where there are only a handful of artists I can stomach, because I spend most of my time analyzing the art, rather than looking at it as a consumer. That being said, I've been wondering if I have some kind of hormone imbalance, because I have periods where it's almost impossible to get aroused, and others where almost anything will turn me on. For the record, I'm strictly talking about the mental aspect of it. I can always get it up and squeeze one out, no matter how low my libido.

As for porn, I got sick of that within a few years of getting an internet connection. I have a shitload of nude photos, but I strictly use them for reference, and try to collect photos that have an inherent aesthetic value or an interesting pose/perspective that I can use for reference. Despite not being turned on by nude photos anymore, I do think the nude female form can be one of the most aesthetically pleasing things imaginable, which brings me to another point. I've often wondered how other men see women. Male sexuality is often portrayed as superficial and tawdry, and I suppose that can be true in some cases, but my attraction to the female form lies in the aesthetic beauty of it as much as pure sexual arousal. I'm not sure this is a common thing, but in my case it has resulted in unrealistically high standards when it comes to women. Most of my friends will fuck almost anything with a hole, while I turn down most women who show an interest.

Lastly, I have to mention that porn/art has had little impact on my libido when it comes to real women. There's just a world of difference between looking at a picture or video of a nude woman, and actually interacting with an attractive woman in real life.

>That being said, I've been wondering if I have some kind of hormone imbalance, because I have periods where it's almost impossible to get aroused, and others where almost anything will turn me on.
That isn't anything unusual. If you go for a long time without fapping or porn, you'll get hornier versus if you do it multiple times erryday. That applies to anyone
>>
>>2489863
While this does have an impact, that's not really what I'm talking about. In my case, it seems completely random.
If I were to fap once a day for a month, I could go three of those weeks with a low/average libido, and one week where almost anything gets me going.

On that topic, it's strange how big of an impact one's libido and mood in general can have on one's perception. That's been one of the biggest hurdles for me to overcome as an artist, as it also applies to my own art. When looking at my own art, I can feel like I'm looking at something done by two different artists at two completely different skill levels, depending on how I'm feeling on that particular day. My work can look like boring shit full of mistakes and devoid of character or value. On other days, everything from the poses, to the style and the lineart just look right, as if done by a professional. The truth is probably somewhere inbetween, and the latter is probably what an amateur or someone suffering the effects of Dunning-Kruger would see.
Regardless, it's incredibly frustrating, because it makes it so hard to objectively judge your own art.
