How are you supposed to use redjuice's brushes?

So I got the brush pack and the only ones I used are the pencils, block, concept, smoke, watercolor, hard texture, and oil pastel. I can't figure out how when and how you're supposed to use brushes like 9 lines and the flat brushes. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Also generic brush pack thread? Looking for good csp brushes to paint mecha in.
