So, I bought some charcoal pencils and holy fuck, this is difficult. How do you git gud with this shit?

Learn to sharpen and hold your pencil properly, use appropriate paper. Then it's just a matter of learning how to actually draw.

There's a specific type of charcoal paper you can buy. Also invest in a boxcutter(unless you're using vine charcoal) and a sandpaper block from the hardware store. It's great for sharpening it and you can possibly reuse the powder

You have to draw bigger than you would with a regular graphite pencil because the lead is fuckhuge
