Well, I do agree that people should start exploring more. But when almost everything they get exposed to is weekly shounen then it may be hard at times to get out of that mentality. But I agree. Reading the entirety of a series to appreciate the art and building a visual library is definitely the way to go.
It's a pity comics and manga don't get appreciated when they deserve it, that is true, and I don't really find myself disagreeing with you concerning the creation of opinions based on partial exposure to a minuscule amount of content.
