What book is this from please?
What about Vilppu's way of doing gestures? It's a bit messy but really "lively", but I can't reproduce it without doing a mess.
The one you linked are simpler and cleaner, but do they work as well as Vilppu's? Do they have the same "lightness" to it?

I love these drawings but seriously be careful, if you mostly draw the female figure as being very feminine, you will get stuck in a body structure rut and most of your drawings will appear feminine as well. Curves are really fun to draw but you don't want your giant orc character or werewolf looking like they've got hips for days. When I was first starting out, a figure drawing class I took had like, one male model every four or five days. As a result, first two years of drawing a lot of my figure construction ended up being very hippy and curvy. Took awhile to get out of. I still sometimes draw my poses with very "soft" forms that is difficult to not do.
