Can we talk about tagging your art? What are some good tags to use?
I tend to do all the basic ones, "art", "artists on tumblr", if it's digital or not, etc. But unless it's a specific piece of fanart, what else do you throw at the wall? Trees, humans, OC, landscape, lineart? Do people search tags like that on Tumblr?
Colors.
You could go 'painting', 'concept art', 'illustration'. You could describe what's in the picture itself, 'mountains', 'forest', 'lake'. 'crowd', 'cityscape' 'landscape', etc. You could describe the mood, 'dark', 'warm', 'mysterious', etc.
If you want to just tag the hell out of it, just be as descriptive as possible, tagging each individual thing. In my experience, tumblr's search engine is pretty weak, so tagging it with whatever you can will probably help more people find it.

I constantly hear that only the first five count on Tumblr - if that's the case what's the point of the rest?
bump for interest
