I gotta say, I really don't like that style, so I don't think I can be completely objective so take what I say with a grain of salt. The shading seems pillowly and not very thoughtfully placed, it seems more you just made lines of shadows following the contours of your lines as opposed to treating it like a three dimensional object. the most egregious of these shadows is the one along the jaw and in the ear. If you were to shade a sphere, is that really how you would apply your shading? Treat what you're drawing as simple solids with more complicated planes.

Personally I think it would be difficult as shit to render a fur pattern with a mouse, how can you control your strokes as you would with a tablet? I tried just some simple shading with a mouse and got frustrated really quickly. Then again maybe I've been spoiled by my tablet.
Getting the right brushes is good yea, but what really makes a fur texture good is the directionality of the strokes. Short, thoughtfully placed strokes makes fur come to life. A good way to figure out how the fur should flow is by doing studies of actual animals, taking careful note of what direction the hairs are taking.
Also note in the image you posted, the artist chose to only render fur in selected areas, you don't really need to draw every hair in order to give the impression of fur. Well placed strokes will give the eye all the information it needs to understand it's fur without too many confusing details. Which is why the tail looks so shitty in comparison.

Personally I think that no matter what color you make it, it's going to read as "weirdly colored labia" since there isnt any indication it's underwear/cloth. I would recommend either getting rid of the indent in the center to make it smooth, adding seam lines along the edges, and/or giving indication of the underwear elsewhere on the body.
Also the shading is all over the place. No distinct light source, they style of shading on the face/hair doesn't match the body, and the shadow on the back looks like a rash since it's just slapped on and not really defining any planes.

Work on construction before you add the expression unless you're thumbnailing (I find its helpful others just do mannequin faces). Spending too much time on the middle girl's face is what's making you reluctant to move and change things around now when you kinda need to.
At thsi point you might be better off starting over and keeping this one as a practice thumbnail for the expression and main idea.
Look up a reference of any girl double-jacking off guys to get the arms and hands right on the middle girl (because I notice you avoided them) and again, do construction before you get into the details more. Get the body, perspective, etc right first. I'm guilty of this too but trust me it saves a lot of headaches if you resist the temptation to jump into the fun part (the expressions and details) until after you're happy with the underdrawing.

After like 2 weeks of not drawing thanks to my shit tablet pen acting up, my urge to do something finally broke so I ended up doing this despite the pen problems. Used a different brush stroke from usual, hoping it gave a more softer approach. Tell me what's wrong about it.

i hope my redlining makes sense. u gotta fix the anatomy of the bottom girl, the leg the purple one is sitting on looks disconnected. and ur perspective w the purple girl makes it seem like the red girl's legs are pointing in our direction, but then her leg's at an impossible angle. just their positions in relation to each other make no sense, is what i'm trying to say.
and when ur exaggerating proportions, like the purple girl's ass, you need to make sure each side is equal. there's a better way to phrase that but i can't think rn . basically rn her left ass looks normal, then her right ass is huge. idk

Thank you both for the feedback. The entire time I had been trying to side step the hard shadow because I thought it looked jarring with how everything else is colored but thats just my dumb thinking.

Usually post my stuff in the Draw Thread, but i think this one probably goes here. Started on paper and then went over it on tablet. No Ref and i had a shitload of trouble with her left boob since the arm is raised its a bit pulled up and higher. Also had trouble with the raised leg and the orientation of the foot. I got it to where i think it looks pretty good and that's my que to post it on here to be shit on so i can learn.
Need help on this WIP thing.
What can I do to make the rendering look less shitty? Where should I simplify, and where should I add detail? The picture looked all right till I started trying to paint. Should I just go back to the flats I started with and cell-shade from there?
