Art programs designed to imitate analogue painting.
ArtRage is better in my opinion.
Verve is currently the best for imitating paint. It's also entirely on the GPU for paint fluid simulation. I wouldn't use it for "anime shit" though.

oh, ok.
I though corel painter was the only one.
any opinions on it?

you clearly havent done any research if you thought that corel painter was the only program made to imitate traditional media...

I mean, corel is fine enough for digital painting, but if I were looking to emulate actual traditional media, I wouldn't use it.
any of these particularly good for watercolors?

Art rage
so why dont i see pros using these more often?

because most pros aren't looking to emulate traditional media through digital. In the end, no current digital program can perfectly preform as traditional media. if a professional wants something to look like an oil painting they just do straight up oils.

These programs art set up from the get-go to emulate traditional mediums. However they are definitely not as powerful or versatile as the usual go-to programs such as photoshop.
Personally I also think that no matter what, with current technology there will always be tell-tale signs that it was made in a program. Most people who are in the professional world who want to achieve a traditional look will probably just use traditional media. They can also cobble it together with any digital edits later, but the look of true traditional beats digitally rendered every time.
