Gotcha. From stuff I've been following, they say just copying isn't a good way to get good, so I've been following all the standard lines one goes when they say they want to get artsy.

Drawing on the right side of the brain, then perspective, then vilppu anatomy lectures and drawing handbook.

Look up dynamic sketching with Peter Han and apply it to your practice. Also look up iterative drawing.
