I have a question /ic/ is there hope to become a tattoo artist these days? Because I know its very hard to get noticed and be a succesfull one too
Can you give some advice if its worth or not
It's actually one of the easiest jobs related to art i think. I've seen a few kids i grew up with, who had very little artistic skill be able to become paid tattoo artists simply because they practiced enough to be able to replicate those "classic style" tattoos.
Becoming a famous tattoo artist with legitimate skill is a different story entirely, but just getting employed probably isn't that hard based on what i've seen.

Hm..good point are they getting good money out of it ?
shameless bump
From what I've read up on tattoo artists is that it's best to get a portfolio going and try get an apprenticeship with it.
I think it should be pretty manageable to get into the local tattoo shop.

I think like 40k a year, but this is in newyork where everything is expensive. It probably pays less outside of major cities.

How can people live with this little?

It's hard to get noticed because there are a billion fucking tattoo artists out there, so yes there is hope.

Ahhahahaha no
Just start a tattoo shop in some lower class slum where the people are so drug damaged they will pay for any shitty half arsed tattoo.
