My main concern is to do the right side in time i spent on the left one.
I hate doing multiple passes to have preety lineart. If i were supposed to do that i'd quit drawing.
Achieving such line dynamics and cleanliness in the 2nd pass (just after drawing masses and boxes) is my true goal .

I'm not even that great. but I don't care in the slightest because I realized art is more about how "you" you are rather than how skilled. the technical skill stuff is just a means to an end. I think it would do /ic/ good to remember this.
Though, it's a bit of a win lose situation. on one hand I reached some sort of artistic satisfaction. which in my opinion is the best fucking feeling in the universe. on the other hand my goal to improve has been severely diminished to the point where its not really a goal anymore and now I'm in a slump looking for the next big push.

Look at pant/thigh areas, where it's really bad. Also her right elbow/chest area. The lines are messy and mostly uniform which also takes away some of the form. Also look at those club hands because of the poor linework.

Look how left did the corset stiching, literally just lines. Compare that with the rights crossed ribbon on the side of her dress. You can feel the bumps of the ribbons, but the lines aren't even forms. The texture of the hair is especially bad, it looks messy yet not at all like hair in the direction/choice of where to put lines. As far as clothing goes, nothing reads like it has any texture to it, the hat looks like it could be wood for all we know. And the belt, which just doesn't even read anything close to a belt, look just the same as the skin, which sometimes i see it as a fat bulge.

The forms of her hair are the worst, it's bubbly and too round, and of course doesn't read like hair at all. The lines of the top of the shirt that could indicate form conflict with the position and how the leather corset is placed below it. The belt just has no form, it took me a while to figure out what it was. The shading and line quality flatten the entire thing, there's no sense that anything is further back/more forward in space. For example look at the front of the hat, it reads as the same distance as the sides and that top part, there's no variety.

Right did it for compositional reasons, granted I don't like that choice either. But left did it because he didn't want to/couldn't draw them, and it looks like she's an amputee that's floating in the air.

You seem so close to where you want to be here, but there's definitely something you're missing that's stopping you from being where you really want to be.
So I say... sketch more. A lot more. Put love into your sketches. Don't paint for a while, until your sketches look good. Reason being is because what I've found is that one's paintings will RARELY ever have more details (without looking terrible/confusing) than one's sketches have. So if you could never sketch it, odds are you're going to go through hell trying to paint it.
You seem to be a fan of good form, clear poses, and enormous/epic scenarios where atmospheric perspective can come into play. So why don't you practice that? Sketch it out my friend. Over and over until you get it!

I like how you changed it. The original drawing was already pretty nice. One thing that is still bothering me, though, is the shirt folds under the breasts. How the lines seem like shading but also lines really bugs me, with respect to how it's pretty different from the rest of the drawing.

The appeal is there, and that's what counts as far as I'm concerned. I don't want to make art for artists, so it's more important that the shit I do looks good than trying to make it as 'correct' as possible. I have bad workflow / time management so I struggle with deadlines for the webcomic, but I'm adjusting and the quality is going up.
