they are all about your mfa and how many loads of semen of your pollock-wannabe art school tutor you've swallowed. so no artist residency for me.

i imagine you can also be taken seriously if you've had some exhibitions and maybe sold a couple of paintings, but it's a very different field from commercial illustration so i don't know about that.
